The BMW logo evolution - From 1913 till present

BMW - The acronym BMW stands for "Bayerische Motoren Werke GmbH" which means Bavarian Engine Works Company.

The name harks back to the company’s origin in the German state of Bavaria. its origin in Rapp-Motorenwerke GmbH, began producing aircraft engines in 1913. BMW started making cars in 1928 after taking over Fahrzeugfabrik Eisenach.
