A British man was shocked after it turned out that he had accidentally eaten a creamy Cadbury egg worth £10,000, according to the British newspaper The Independent.
Adam Davis was filming himself in his van last week when he ate the Easter gift of a precious Cadbury egg, but didn't notice the different colors because he was starving.
It wasn't until his friends pointed out the different colors in the video that Adam realized he had swallowed a cash prize.
Cadbury has relaunched its Creme Egg competition by hiding 280 half-white, half-milk chocolate eggs in UK stores. Customers who buy one of these eggs win a £10,000 prize.
"I didn't notice because it didn't taste different to me. I was just hungry," said Adam, who runs the Adz Ventures YouTube channel.
He added, "I am not very sad. Who else can say that he ate ten thousand pounds sterling in 30 seconds. Money comes and goes, but getting the financial reward would have made me happy, of course."😉
Now he is appealing to the famous chocolate company to give him at least part of the prize. "Cadbury should give me some of the money as a consolation prize," he said.
"But to be fair, I didn't know about this contest in the first place, and it's not their fault," he said.
