During a successful experiment, the "flying taxi" took off vertically in Spain's skies

German company Lilium conducted successful tests of its "flying taxi" in southern Spain on last Tuesday. During its test flight, the aircraft was piloted remotely.

The flying taxi "Lilium Jet" is the first fully electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft.

Founded in Munich in 2015, Lilium develops eVTOL aircraft with electric jet engines integrated into the side flaps to allow vertical and horizontal flight.
