A British man suffered kidney failure as a result of taking 1,176 ibuprofen tablets in one month, and ended up in intensive care in hospital.
LADBible indicates that the 34-year-old man, whose name was not mentioned, was fond of running. Participating in running races and other physical activity competitions caused him pain, so he started taking ibuprofen to get rid of the annoying symptoms.
He gradually increased the dose of ibuprofen until he reached the point of taking 28 tablets a day, and this condition continued for several weeks.
After examining, doctors discovered that he had taken large amounts of ibuprofen, which led to stomach and esophagus ulcers, in addition to kidney failure.
The patient told the doctors that he took 1,176 ibuprofen tablets during the month.
According to doctors, he is now undergoing treatment and his health condition is stable.
