A single ticket in the United States won the record-breaking Powerball lottery jackpot of $2.04 billion. It is said to be the biggest amount won in the lottery in the world so far.


According to the California Lottery, this ticket was sold at a service center in Altadena, Los Angeles County, California.


The winning lottery numbers were 10, 33, 41, 47, 56 and his Powerball 10.


A Powerball press release Monday said the $1.9 billion jackpot had risen to $2.04 billion by Tuesday morning, according to an ABC News report. This is the biggest lottery prize in the world.
