A first-year 8th grade school teacher noted that one of her students seemed distracted and was not performing well on tests.

She took him aside and asked what was going on. “I’m in love,” he said.

“Oh,” she exclaimed, “with whom?”

“With you,” he admitted.

“Well,” she said, “that’s well and fine, but I am looking for a man to be my husband, and I don’t want a child.”
