Residents of Detroit witnessed an unusual scene when a helicopter dropped thousands of dollars on pedestrians on one of the city's streets. This incident quickly sparked a wave of astonishment and joy among citizens.
According to eyewitnesses, the helicopter hovered over the intersection of Gratiot Street and Conner Street before beginning to spray large amounts of bills on pedestrians. This prompted dozens of people to gather and collect the falling money in a scene reminiscent of a movie.
Local sources reported that the value of the scattered money was estimated at thousands of dollars. Police quickly closed the street temporarily for about 30 minutes to regulate the situation and ensure the safety of citizens.
Information later revealed that this step was in fulfillment of the will of a local car wash owner who had recently passed away after a struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Before his death, he had expressed his desire to "make people happy in an unconventional way" by suddenly distributing his money to the public.
