"Floods in the Desert"...a famous American festival turns into hell!
The festival participants tried to leave as quickly as possible, but heavy rains impeded movement on the highway, which was supposed to turn thousands of cars towards it.
More than 70,000 people attended the week-long event, and this year it takes place from August 28 to September 4. It is not clear how many people have been stranded due to the weather.
The festival is held every summer in Black Rock, a temporary city created annually specifically for the festival in the Nevada desert.
Tens of thousands of attendees travel to and from the city along a two-lane highway to reach the festival, which was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
