Pope Francis's car is transformed into a health clinic for children!

In a remarkable humanitarian gesture, Pope Francis's last will and testament, following his death on April 21, included a profound humanitarian request for children in the Gaza Strip.

The Pope requested that his famous "Popemobile," which he used during his visit to Bethlehem in 2014, be converted into a mobile medical clinic dedicated to treating children in the besieged Palestinian enclave.

This humanitarian initiative comes at a time when the Gaza Strip is suffering from a stifling humanitarian crisis due to the widespread destruction of its infrastructure, particularly in the health sector.

The papal vehicle has been equipped as a mobile medical unit equipped with the latest medical equipment, including diagnostic tools and rapid tests, in addition to vaccines and essential medical supplies, to meet the needs of children in Gaza.

The mobile medical clinic will be equipped to provide urgent healthcare to children suffering from malnutrition and injuries resulting from the conflict.

The medical unit will operate under the supervision of medical teams composed of doctors and health assistants, with the goal of reaching the most isolated areas in Gaza when humanitarian access to the Strip resumes.

In a statement, Peter Bruni, Secretary General of Caritas Sweden, emphasized that the vehicle will help reach children who lack access to healthcare, expressing the importance of this initiative as it represents a practical, life-saving intervention at a time when the health system in Gaza is severely deteriorating.

This initiative is a true embodiment of Pope Francis' legacy of working for peace and social justice. Through this humanitarian gift, the Pope continues to affirm his commitment to peace and humanitarian care, leaving a powerful message to the world that children in conflict zones must be at the center of international attention.

Caritas Jerusalem, which is leading this initiative on the ground, seeks to enhance this legacy by providing medical care to hundreds of children in Gaza, reflecting the Pope's continued commitment to humanitarian values and the world's need for immediate response to humanitarian crises.
